Video Production, Product Videos

Show the product. Don't describe it.

A spec sheet tells people what your product is. A product video lets them see it work, understand the value, and want it, in the seconds before they decide. That's the whole job.

01People believe what they can see.

Text asks a buyer to imagine. Video shows them. And a buyer who can see how something works, how it fits their hand, solves their problem, saves their time, is far closer to buying than one squinting at a bullet list.

That's the core of a good product video. It doesn't claim the product is good. It demonstrates it, and lets the viewer arrive at “I want that” on their own. Shown beats told, because shown feels like proof and told feels like a promise.

Most product videos get this backward. They narrate features over pretty footage, “durable, efficient, easy to use”, while the viewer waits to actually see any of it. We build the other way. Every claim earns its place by being visible on screen. If we can't show it, we question whether it belongs in the video at all.

02Demos that sell, not demos that bore.

A product demo can be the most persuasive thing you own, or the most skippable. The difference is whether it's built around the viewer or the product.

A boring demo lists everything the product can do, in the order the manual lists it. A demo that sells picks the one or two things the buyer actually cares about and makes those unmistakably clear. It answers the question forming in the viewer's head, “will this work for me?”, instead of reciting a tour.

We build product videos around a single question: what does this person need to see to feel sure? Then we show exactly that, in the right order, without the filler. The product is the hero, but the viewer's problem is the plot.

For technical, industrial, or complex products, this is where our animation roots earn their keep. When a camera can't get inside the machine, under the surface, or through the process, motion graphics can. We combine live-action and animation constantly, showing the outside with a lens and the inside with animation, so even a complicated product becomes obvious in under a minute.

03Built for the product page and the ad.

A product video isn't one thing. Where it plays changes what it needs to be, and we build for the specific spot.

For ecommerce and product pages.

On a listing, video does what photos can't: it removes doubt. Scale, texture, motion, what's in the box, how it actually works in a real hand. A product video on the page answers the questions that otherwise become abandoned carts and return requests. It's shot to build confidence at the exact moment someone's deciding whether to buy.

For paid ads and the feed.

An ad has one second to earn the next three. Here the product video has to hook before it explains, lead with the payoff, the transformation, the problem solved, then reveal the product. Built vertical, watched on mute, captioned by default, cut tight. Same product, a completely different edit from the page version, and often pulled from the same shoot.

For sales and email.

A short, clear product video in a sales deck or follow-up email does the explaining your team shouldn't have to repeat. It works while no one's in the room. We plan these together, from one production. One well-planned shoot can feed the product page, the ad account, and the sales team, three different edits, one cost.

04Clarity is the whole value.

If a viewer finishes your product video and isn't sure what it does or why it's better, the video failed, no matter how good it looked.

So clarity is what we optimise for above everything. Not the most shots, not the most effects, not the most information. The clearest possible path from “what is this?” to “I get it, and I want it.” We cut anything that doesn't move the viewer along that path, even when it's beautiful. Especially when it's beautiful.

That discipline is the difference between a product video that decorates your page and one that earns its place on it. One looks nice. The other sells.

05What you get

A master product video for your page or hero placement, plus the cuts you'll actually run: vertical edits for ads and reels, square versions for the feed, short hook-led cutdowns for paid, and captioned silent versions for autoplay. Any motion graphics or animated sequences needed to show what a camera can't. Delivered in every ratio and format your channels need, ready to upload, not ready to re-edit.

FAQ

What makes a product video actually sell instead of just look nice?

Clarity and relevance. A product video sells when it shows the one or two things the buyer genuinely cares about, in a way that removes doubt and feels like proof rather than a claim. Looking nice is table stakes; it doesn't persuade on its own. We build every product video around the specific question a buyer needs answered before they'll act, and cut everything that doesn't help answer it.

Can you make product videos for ecommerce and for ads from the same shoot?

Yes, and it's the smart way to do it. A product-page video and a paid-ad video need different edits, the page version builds confidence and detail, the ad version hooks fast and shows the payoff first, but both can come from a single well-planned production. We decide all the destinations before we shoot, so you get a full set of assets for one shoot cost instead of paying for each separately.

Our product is technical and hard to show on camera. Can you still make it clear?

That's one of the things we're best at. When a lens can't get inside a machine, under a surface, or through a process, animation and motion graphics can. Our roots are in animation and film, so we routinely combine live-action with animated layers to make complex or industrial products obvious in under a minute. The harder the product is to explain, the more a well-made video is worth.

Let's make people get it, and want it.

Tell us what your product does and who needs to understand it. We'll figure out what to show, in what order, and which cuts you need for the page, the ad, and the sales deck, from one shoot.
